Typical Food

Ecuador has a gastronomy varied enough, this is because the country into four regions are coast, sierra, eastern and insular region.

For example

Coast:

The fish is usually eaten on the Ecuadorian coast is achieved in the Pacific Ocean.
The main fish are fish, albacore, dorado, camotillo, Chame, croaker and trout.



Sierra:

  • Fanesca of deceased 
  • Roast Cuy 
  • Fried Cuy of Chantura 
  • Quinoa Soup 
  • Hornado (pork) Carchi Sangolquí and Riobamba

                                     


Oriente:

Found in the Amazon region, unlike other regions, the most exotic of Ecuadorian food.
The dry guanta is the typical food of the Amazon region. Its main ingredients are meat guanta (largest rodent in the region), bananas, garlic, served with rice or potatoes. The zarapatoca is another very unique Ecuadorian food of this region is made with turtle meat. The uchumanga other hand, is a thorough dish best served with a variety of wild animal intestines. We also found the cazave, or better known as grated cassava bread which is also found in the major cities of Ecuador.
